Smart shopping:Okay, so maybe you’re an emotional eater. You may feel a chocolate craving every now and then. Perhaps you crave a treat that’s sweet or even salty. In the supermarket you may find yourself wandering towards the treats, even though you know you shouldn’t. Or perhaps you buy a can of ravioli or frozen dinners because it’s quick and easy even though you stop to read the label and can’t even pronounce half of the chemicals and so-called food ingredients on the packaging. Well, why should shopping for your pet be any different? In fact, it could be quite simple if we disregard emotional eating for your pet (think: BARF diet; after all, how do you know that your dog or cat isn’t craving an exceptionally healthy meal of the raw meat diet?). And as for those thrifty processed can foods? Throw them out. Literally. Imagine how healthy your pet can be if you purchased foods that had long-term benefits such as the BARF Diet, the evolutionary diet for cats and dogs which recreate the evolutionary diet as close as possible to foods that are close to the root. Forget about dried foods that lack water or essential vitamins and nutrients. Forget the fact that they’re portable or inexpensive. Would you rather pay exorbitant veterinary bills in two years as a result of the liver damage caused by the inadequate diet? Instead, the BARF diet equates to a raw meat diet. It emulates a dog or cat’s evolutionary diet. The BARF diet is real; it has lasting positive effects. While there’s no systematic of scientific way to completely emulate a dog or cat’s evolutionary diet, the BARF approach recreates the diet as close as possible to foods that are close to the root. For instance, for cats, the BARF diet relies on the whole fresh raw food of a small mammal or bird. For dogs, this raw meat diet depends on that same carcass along with the carcass stripped of most of the flesh, plus whole raw foods of both animal and plants. After all, dogs are omnivores, they’re hunters, and scavengers. Since the overall goal to feed your pet the BARF Diet is to increase the health, well-being, longevity, and reproductive capacity, the bewilderment persists: why would someone not be interested in feeding the BARF to their pet? As death tolls sadly increase as the result of bad processed pet food, one can only wonder why people haven’t discovered the BARF diet sooner - click here!
