Holiday Cards:So it's that time of year again—holiday card time! This is the time of year that people either love or hate. This is the time of year when your desk becomes the home of holiday cards, envelopes, stamps, and address lists. Can't you almost feel the paper-cuts on the tongue, and the cramps in the fingers? It seems a necessary evil during the holidays though, as card after card from all of your relatives and friends come pouring in, you know that you too must send off all of those 'wonderful' cards. But lets be honest, aren't you getting tired of all of those generic holiday card images. The oil painted winter wonderland, with faceless people in outdated fashions skating in what looks like a turn of the century back country town. Or the cute little stuffed animals, or other typical holiday motifs. Don't you want to send something to your friends and family this year that is more you, that has more of your sense of style and charm? How about you make your own holiday card this year? It's not as hard as you may think. In fact, there are many companies out there that will do all of the hard work for you; some will even ship them for you to where they need to go. Now, many of you are probably thinking about getting the family together, the kids, the spouse and maybe sitting in front of the Christmas Tree or something. Yes, you can let them be in the picture too. But we at The Dog Bowl know who we all love more than anyone else in the world. That's right our dogs! This holiday season, if you are a dog lover, than your holiday card should feature your beloved four legged friend. A couple of things you will need:
Choose the perfect backdrop for you photo. For instance, a Christmas tree, a mantle, outside in front of the house, and your favorite street corner, or another place that to you makes you think of holiday goodness. Dress up you dog! Go to our online store and pick him out some cute holiday clothes. Maybe a nice dog coat fits your fancy, or some other hot holiday fashion that is just perfect for your cute little dog. Print out your pictures, photo shop in something sweet like, "Happy Holidays!" (many word processing software has a card making option, or you can find an online provider who will do it for you). Send out your holiday cards and then you are done! Also for all of your friends who have a special dog in their lives as well, why don't you get some special small dog treats, tie a bow around it, and send it with your holiday card. Your friends and family will think you are awesome!
