Bulking up on a supply of your puppy's favorite toys is also recommended. This way, if your pooch is chewing on something inappropriate, you can replace the item with his very own toy. Remember to praise him appropriately as well to reinforce the behavior. Another suggestion is freezing rubber teething rings – they’ll help lessen the pain of cutting teeth if your puppy is crated. Crating is viewed as positive since it will aid in potty training and ensures a safe environment for your puppy. Keep in mind the puppy teething stage can be a long time period beginning when he is five months old and lasting over a year or longer.
