Dear Dog Bowl

Please know that I want to thank you for making a life changing diet for my beloved Schnauzer.

As a result of the raw diet (BARF) we have allowed food to be the medicine for our canine. She has overcome a number of issues including allergies, obesity, and restlessness.

There was a time when I couldn’t take anything off the shelf to support my dog. We even tried bi-monthly visits to the vet. The only solution for us as to take a chance on a raw diet. After reading and understanding the value of raw foods we started the program.

After two weeks we started noticing less itching and skin starting to heal. So we took a risk and allowed weeks to pass for another visit to the vet. We decided to cure our dog naturally from that point on. We made a conscious decision to say no to harsh drugs and steroid shots as quick fixes.

Another thing happened as we started the end of the two (2) week cycle. We noticed hair starting to grow back in places that were previously bald from scratching and itching. Before all you could see where skin and scabs from allergies. We knew from this point on this dog could finally be healed and comfortable long-term. Currently the dog has had the full coat restored and looks like a new puppy.

So we followed instruction and guidance from the Dog Bowl. We then found that our dog started losing weight. By the time we finished week four, she had gone from 24.5 lbs to 18 lbs. We were able to stop allergies and also lower her body fat substantially. We realized this was a life changing diet for our beloved Schnauzer.

Some of the other benefits in weeks to come were seeing the dog not restless. She was now able to sleep soundly, without a lot of nightmares. We even noticed that she started to become a much more balanced dog mentally. Before her behaviour seemed erractic and almost ADD like. Now we had a dog that seemed calm and confident as nature intended. Weeks into the diet we also noticed the dog was losing that “salty dog” smell.

We came to the conclusion that our dogs vitality was linked to raw foods. For months we were perplexed with issues on allergies and extreme skin conditions. It was very difficult to try so many different thing with no true result. Finally when we did take the dog to the vet he was surprised at our Schnauzers vitality. He commented on the drugs he prescribed, as if he told us so. He was shocked when we told him that the dog was chemical free and eating a raw diet.

Our family is so grateful for the impact and overall well being of our dog. We love the fact that she enjoys every meal. She savours all of the raw treats you supplied us with. This was the best decision we could have made for our dogs vitality.
