Carbon has long been used as the most effective way of removing odors. The drawbacks to carbon odor reduction has been the effectiveness of the air purification and the cleanliness of the product. While carbon filters work great for removing odors, they lack the ability to effectively remove particle contaminants from the air. Carbon filters use 38x more carbon than the BestAir Odor Stop filters do but share similar results. Our Odor Stop filters remove odors from the air as efficiently as typical carbon filters, but also clean the air just as well. Odor Stop filters use carbon particles the size of 0.1 microns, standard carbon filter particle sizes are 20 microns. Only the surface of the 20 microns is actually used in the process of odor removal. The 0.1 micron carbon particle size of the Odor Stop is completely used in the adsorbtion of odors. 200 particles of the Odor Stop carbon fit in the same area as 1 particle of standard carbon. The Odor Stop carbon has an enormous advantage over standard carbon, using all of the particle to absorb odors extends the time the filter can adsorbodors. The process of adding the Odor Stop products can be added to all efficiencies of filters (MERV 7-MERV 13 and up).
